Fundraising Coordinator
(Volunteer)

MLBR is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Boxers in need. To support our mission, we host several fundraisers throughout the year, and we are seeking a passionate and experienced Fundraising Coordinator to lead these efforts.

Position Summary

The Fundraising Coordinator will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing our key fundraisers. This role involves collaborating with volunteers, sponsors, and donors to ensure successful events that generate significant financial support for our rescue operations. The ideal candidate is organized, creative, detail oriented, and has a background in event planning and fundraising.

Reports To: Board of Directors

 

Time Commitment: ​Approximately 5 -10 hours per week, with additional hours during events. 

​

Key Responsibilities:

 

    1.    Event Planning and Execution of our key fundraisers, including but not limited to:

    •    Annual Online Auction 

    •    Boxers & Brews

    •    Wine Tasting

    •    Holiday Wreath Sale​

    •    Garage Sale

​

    2.    Fundraising and Sponsorship:

    •    Develop and implement strategies to increase event attendance and fundraising revenue.

    •    Identify and secure event sponsors.​

    •    Coordinate with the marketing and social media teams to promote events.

​​

    3.    Volunteer Management:

    •    Recruit and provide guidance to event volunteers.

    

    4.    Communication and Reporting:

    •    Communicate event details and updates.

    •    Prepare post-event reports, including financial summaries and participant feedback.

​

    5.    Research and Identify New Fundraising Opportunities:   

    •    Proactively identify and pursue innovative ideas & grant opportunities.

Qualifications:

​

    •    Proven experience in event planning and fundraising, preferably in a nonprofit setting.

    •    Strong organizational and project management skills.

    •    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    •    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    •    Passion for animal welfare and the mission of MustLuvBoxers Rescue.

 

Compensation:

 

    •    This is a volunteer position. While there is no monetary compensation, the role offers valuable experience in event planning and nonprofit management, as well as the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of rescued Boxers.
