Hello Friends, As we dive into the cozy fall season, we’re reminded of the warmth and joy Boxers bring into our lives. From wiggles to wet-nosed kisses, everyday at MLBR is filled with second chances and unconditional love. But today, we need to share some heavy news that weighs on our hearts. You may recall recently receiving an important message from us that the rescue is in jeopardy of losing the property for our future Rescue Center & Senior Sanctuary. Due to changing circumstances, we must purchase the property by December 24, 2024. The total cost of the property is $600,000 and we are $250,000 short. If we don’t raise this amount, we will have to move off the property and our long-time dream of giving Boxers the second chance they deserve will vanish. We’re reaching out to our amazing community for support. Together, we can keep our dream alive – we do believe it's what rescue Boxers deserve. Seeking Fundraising Coordinator We're seeking a dynamic Fundraising Coordinator (volunteer position) to join MLBR starting January 1, 2025. This role is currently filled through December 31, 2024, but we're eager for someone to come on board sooner to shadow the current coordinator, engage with volunteers, and familiarize themselves with our operations and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate should have experience in fundraising management, a passion for our mission, creativity in developing new fundraising strategies, and strong leadership skills. A detail-oriented, self-motivated, and collaborative team member is who we are looking for! MustLuvBoxers Rescue is a non-profit, charitable, 501c3 organization that strives to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home unwanted and abandoned Boxers within Washington State and surrounding areas. Along with our rescue efforts, it is our goal to inform people about the realities of pet guardianship and to provide education and resources to pet owners. We will promote spaying, neutering, and encourage responsible care of the Boxer to enhance the lives of owners and their companions alike. We will always strongly support and promote rescues, whether it is from a shelter or an individual-anywhere there is a Boxer in need of a loving home...and we will continue in this endeavor until none are left behind.
